Nonprofit Neighbor Volunteer Program
Our Volunteer Program serves to create a positive, meaningful, and lasting impact in our community through participation and cooperation between Sno-Isle Food Co-op, its owners, and select nonprofit organizations. Eligible participants are also rewarded with 15% off coupons to use while shopping with us!
How it Works
Households, regardless of number of members or age, who volunteer for five (5) or more hours per month at our Co-op or an approved Nonprofit Neighbor organization will receive a coupon for 15% off one shopping trip the following month.
Households who volunteer for ten (10) or more hours per month at approved Nonprofit Neighbor organizations will receive one additional coupon, for a maximum of two discounted shopping trips per month.
Households must maintain active and up-to-date ownership with Sno-Isle Food Co-op to be eligible.

Evergreen Arboretum
Thank you volunteers - you are the life-blood of the Evergreen Arboretum. We have many ways to volunteer, from leading docent tours, teaching a gardening class, serving on our board, helping staff events, or just plain getting dirty on gardening and repotting days.
It's all great fun and you make wonderful friends. You might even learn more about gardening. When you volunteer you are automatically entered into a monthly drawing for various perks too. Come play in the dirt with us! You can choose to just show up on the workdays below and sign in to receive credit, sign up online here on our website, or call our message line at 425-257-8597.

We advocate for better laws to protect animals and work to educate the public about how they can help end animal cruelty. Our programs help save the lives of thousands of animals each year and inspire people to reimagine their relationships with all beings. Learn more about their volunteer program at their website here.

Co-op Volunteer Opportunities
Below are some of our Spring/Summer Volunteer Opportunities here at the Co-op. Approved volunteers will also receive an email with volunteer opportunities. If you sign up to volunteer and are not an approved volunteer-your name will be removed. Check out the “volunteer application” above to apply first.
Bulletin Board Cleanup
The Co-op maintains a bulletin board and shelving area in the hall north of the store. Volunteers go through items on the board to remove anything old (or inappropriate). Volunteers go through items on the shelves, cleaning the shelves with provided duster and organizing any papers/booklets as needed. Basically-keep the area looking nice for our shoppers! Should take about an hour.
Food Donation Runs
Run items from the Co-op to a local community fridge/pantry. Process takes about 2 hours, must have own car for transportation.
Help with our Annual Meeting
We need lots of support to help us with our Annual Meeting! It will be October 4, from about 6 pm to 9 pm at Floral Hall. We will need volunteers in the morning/early afternoon for set up and folks for take down of tables and chairs at 9pm. There will also be a variety of other tasks to help with in the weeks leading up to the event. Please check back in September for signups.
