Backyard Chickens for Beginners

Eggs don’t come much more fresh and local than the eggs you get from your own backyard! This egg-cellent workshop presented by Down to Earth Community Gardens will teach you everything you need to know to start and maintain a happy, healthy flock of chickens, all while using sustainable and organic practices.

Join Certified Veteran Master Gardener and poulterer Barb Harmon in the Sno-Isle Food Co-op Boardroom (3rd floor, Suite 301), as she shows you how to start your own backyard flock. This class will cover everything a beginner needs to know to get started and include some new tips and tricks for seasoned poultrykeepers.
