Relax and Restore with Sound

  • Sno-Isle Food Co-op 2804 Grand Avenue Everett, WA, 98201 United States (map)

Delight in the sounds of crystal quartz singing bowls, chimes, and gongs. This sound bath will focus on relaxation and restoration to guide you into a deeply restful state. Come disconnect, breathe, and reconnect. This will be a gentle, but powerfully unique experience.

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a guided sound experience where participants comfortably lie (or sit) on the floor with their eyes closed to obtain a relaxed state. A sound session or "sound bath" is referred to as such, because of the feeling of being bathed by sound....an experience that you must feel to truly believe. The session includes breathwork & listening to a variety of instruments in which frequencies assist the body in activating the parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest). Once in this relaxed state, the PNS naturally decreases blood pressure, slows breathing, & focuses on internal healing processes.

NOTE: Doors will close and class will begin PROMPTLY at 6:30 PM to ensure the integrity of the experience, so attendees should plan on arriving at least a few minutes prior to 6:30 PM. The location is on the top floor of the building, stairs and elevator are available.

What to bring:

-Yoga mat or blanket to lie down on, or a comfortable folding chair if you do not want to lie on the floor.

-One or two pillows to put under your head and knees, a comfy blanket, whatever to help you feel comfortable and warm as we will be lying on the floor. Socks are great!

-Masks optional, but recommended

-A bottle of water

-Openness to the experience
