Homeowner Plumbing 101: Water & Gas Shutoffs

Own a home? Do you know how to shut off the water or gas to your home? This is important because if there is a leak you will be able to shut off the water, gas, etc. off quickly and prevent unnecessary damage. Learn how to identify basic shutoff for services like water and gas in your own home so you can be prepared for those unexpected surprises that come along with being a homeowner. This workshop is one hour and is being offered as a free community service event. Join us in the Co-op classroom to learn how to become a more savvy homeowner!


Len Hanson is a licensed residential plumber and has offered to share some of his time to educate people in basic plumbing for the home. He has over a decade of experience in the field, is passionate about plumbing, and welcomes questions from those who want to understand basic plumbing works in the home.
