Free repair workshop. You can learn hand sewing to enable you to fix and upcycle clothes, home & living items & more. No experience necessary. Bring worn and damaged clothes and home items made out of fabric and leather and instructor Akiko Gilmore can help you fix them! Examples of items: pants that need a patch, shirts with missing buttons, skirts that need hemming, socks with holes, bags with broken straps, loose belts, torn cushion covers etc. Tools (scissors, needles, leather working tools) and supplies (buttons, thread, fabric and leather remnants) are provided. Donations of clothes and supplies are appreciated.
