This tasting will feature the following three Washington-made rosé wines at various price points.
Lulu’s Méthode Contemporaine Brut Rosé
$13.69 a bottle
This fruit-forward, dry brut rosé with Syrah as the base has a sniff of candied cherry followed by hints of white raspberry and strawberry. The bubbles flow through the medium body as the flavors slow-dance through a strong finish of citrusy grapefruit. We don’t think you’ll find a better rosé for the price!
Latta Wines “Kind Stranger” Rosé
$15.99 a bottle
This bone-dry wine is a classically pale Provençal style rosé, with bright crispness. Notes of under ripe strawberry, watermelon rind, fresh tarragon leaves, and orange blossom abound.
Andrew Latta was inspired to take the name “Kind Stranger” quite literally, by turning to others around him. He’s seen our national landscape shift a bit recently and feels it's as important as ever to be a kind stranger in the world. Proceeds from this wine benefit Mary’s Place at a local level in Seattle Washington, and the International Rescue Committee on a broader scale.
Alki Wines Bubbly Rosé Sparkling
$18.79 a bottle
This dry and crisp bubbly rosé has hints of strawberry, cherry blossom, crisp apple, and a touch of spice. This mouthwatering bubbly can be enjoyed now and for the next 30 years! Bright with a little fizz, it is perfect for Sunday brunch.
Alki (Al-Kai), meaning "hope for the future," is Washington State's motto and the backbone of its approach to winemaking. By selecting the top 1% of fruit from over 3,000 acres of estate vineyards across the Wahluke Slope and Ancient Lakes AVAs, they grow, produce, and hand-craft some of Washington's best wine. Made with quality, value, and longevity in mind, their vision of sharing world-class Washington wines for years to come has a bright future.
