The Friends of the Everett Public Library is a non-profit organization that provides financial support and volunteer assistance for activities, programs, and services that make the library a better place for all its patrons. The Friends of EPL have funded the prizes for the Summer Reading Program, co-sponsored the Everett Reads Author series, and so much more. In addition to the monetary support, giving to the Friends of EPL tells the community that you value our library.

PAWS

PAWS is people helping cats, dogs, and wild animals go home and thrive – whether home is the family room or the forest. Since 1967, PAWS has united more than 130,000 cats and dogs with loving families, cared for more than 140,000 sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals, and made the world a better place for countless others through outreach, education, and advocacy. Based in Lynwood, Wa.

Viva Farms

Grand total of $3,000 donated; $578.62 from Register Roundups, $691.00 from First Friday, $1,000 from Co-op Staff Donation and $730.38 “Matching Funds” from our Co-op Donation Budget

Mission: “We empower aspiring and limited-resource farmers by providing bilingual training in holistic organic farming practices, as well as access to land, infrastructure, equipment, marketing and capital.”

Viva Farms is a non-profit (501c-3 and charitable organization), Farm Business Incubator and Training Program established in 2009. They operate 119 acres, two locations in Skagit County, and one in King County, Washington. They lower the barriers for beginning farmers, and create the opportunity for success. Viva Farms has educated over 1,000 farmers (150+ Spanish speakers) in sustainable organic farming.

Staff chose Viva Farms to the Register Roundup for March after the organization released an urgent call for donations on 2/19/2025.

Downtown Everett Partners

Grand total of $1413 donated; $728.99 from First Friday, $684.01 from Register Roundups

Downtown Everett Partners (DEP) was created as a 501(c)(3) organization in partnership with the Downtown Everett Association in 2020. The purpose of DEP is to generate funds to support Downtown Everett Main Street Program goals and the activation of Downtown Everett through an ongoing series of programs and initiatives:

Public space enhancements and activations like the Downtown Flower Program, holiday lighting, and public art
Education about downtown revitalization efforts like historic preservation, transportation, and public safety
Community events, workshops, and volunteer opportunities

Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens

Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens is an all-volunteer organization that not only works to create a unique arboretum that is free to all, but also organizes classes and events year-round to encourage community, introduces families and children to the joy of being outside through Family Fun events, and brings creativity and joy to visitors with special events such as Out on a Limb: Poetry in the Trees, Color Storm (a yarn bombing event), and Solstice Walk.
